PRIOR TO THE TREATMENT

We begin with a comprehensive skin analysis to determine the precise depth required for your concerns. It is crucial to avoid direct sun exposure and active ingredients like Retinol for at least two weeks before your session. These precautions ensure the skin is in the optimal state for deep remodeling and reduces the risk of post-inflammatory pigment.

DURING THE TREATMENT

After applying a medical-grade numbing cream, the laser handpiece is guided over the skin. You will hear a rapid snapping sound as the laser creates micro-channels. Our integrated cooling system and the numbing agent work together to maintain comfort. The depth of the channels is adjusted in real-time to treat different areas of the face with surgical precision.

POST-TREATMENT

Immediately after, the skin will feel very warm, similar to a deep sunburn. We apply a protective barrier balm to lock in moisture. For the first 48 hours, you must keep the skin hydrated and avoid any heat-inducing activities. A strict mineral SPF 50 regimen is mandatory as your skin reveals its new, fresh layers.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE

You will experience redness and mild swelling for 3 to 5 days. As the micro-channels heal, you may notice tiny “MENDs” (micro-epidermal necrotic debris) which look like a fine tan; these will naturally slough off within a week. Do not pick or exfoliate the skin manually; let the natural regeneration process take its course for the best results.

While you may feel a snapping sensation and significant warmth during the treatment, the integrated cooling system and the numbing agent make the experience very manageable.

How much downtime should I expect?

Typically, patients experience 3 to 5 days of downtime. Immediately after, your skin will look and feel like a deep sunburn. By day 2 or 3, you may notice mild swelling and tiny “MENDs” (micro-dots) as the skin heals. Most patients feel comfortable returning to work and applying makeup by day 5 or 6, once the initial redness and shedding have subsided.

How many sessions are needed for scar removal?

While a single session provides visible improvement in skin texture, a series of 3 treatments is usually recommended for deep acne scars or surgical scarring.
