The name “HArmonyCa” makes perfect sense when you break it down. The “HA” in HArmonyCa™ stands for Hyaluronic Acid, which is one of the key ingredients in the dermal filler. The “Ca” at the end of the name stands for Calcium, which is a main component of the other key ingredient, Calcium Hydroxyapatite. By combining these two ingredients in one product, Allergan has created a harmony, or a balance, of sorts, which is reflected in the name “HArmonyCa”. So, the name is not only easy to remember, but it also reflects the unique combination of ingredients and the overall benefits of the product.

Dermal Fillers that contain Hyaluronic Acid alone typically last for several months. The Calcium Hydroxyapatite contained in HArmonyCa™ continues working to build your skin's own natural Collagen for up to 18 months.

HArmonyCa™ Treatment Overview

DURING YOUR TREATMENT

On the day of treatment we will cleanse the skin before administering HArmonyCa™ through 4-6 small injection points. Any discomfort associated with injection is typically minimal due to the addition of lidocaine, a local anaesthetic, to the product.

Who is it for?

HArmonyCa™ is typically suitable for those in their mid 30’s and onwards. 

How long does it last?

HA effects last 12-18 months. CaHA’s  collagen-stimulating effects start to diminish after 12 months. Maintenance treatments are therefore recommended every 12-18 months to sustain the anti-aging benefits.

HArmonyCa Treatment

Consultation (10-15 mins)

Consultation will begin with an Observ skin analysis and pre-treatment photographs, then discuss specific concerns and treatment goalsin order to determine if HArmonyCa™ is right for you.

On the Day (30-45 mins)

After disinfecting your skin, HArmonyCa™ will be administered in 4-6 injections points on the face. It is a comfortable procedure with minimal discomfort due to the addition of a local anaesthetic to the product.

Results

Initial hydrating, volumising & lifting results can be seen immediately after treatment. The longer lasting effects appear by 3 months post-treatment and continue to improve for up to 12 months.

HArmonyCa vs Profhilo

When it comes to injectable treatments for enhancing skin quality and reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines,  both HArmonyCa™ & Profhilo offer impressive results but work differently and are suited to different age groups.

Profhilo is a pure Hyalurinic Acid injectable that deeply hydrates the skin while stimulating Collagen & Elastin production to help smooth out fine lines & wrinkles. Unlike Dermal Filler, the Hyaluronic Acid in Profhilo is not cross-linked, so it does not add volume in areas where it is injected.

helps to improve the skin’s elasticity and firmness. It does this by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. It typically lasts for 4-6 months, therefore you will need to have maintenance treatments.

HArmonyCa on the other hand, contains cross-linked Hyaluronic Acid similar to traditional Dermal Fillers, making it effective as a a volumizing filler to restore youthful facial contours in areas in the face that have lost volume due to ageing or other factors, and helping to minimise deeper wrinkles.

The powerful Collagen & Elastin inducing effects of Calcuim Hydroxyapatite in HArmonyCa™ are longer lasting compared to that of Hyaluronic Acid alone which remains in the skin for only a few months.

Therefore, while maintenance treatments with Profhilo are required every 4-6 months to sustain it’s effects, HArmonyCa™ is recommended once in every 12-18 months. 

While Profhilo benefits people o all ages, HArmonyCa™ is best suited to individuals in their late 30’s and older.

HArmonyCa can last between 12 – 18  depending on the skin type of the patient. We will discuss the results you can expect at the time of consultation.

Results can be seen immediately after treatment, with skin looking hydrated and lifted, while collagen production can begin within one week of treatment.

If you:

  • are sensitive/allergic to any of the product ingredients
  • suffer from skin disease/abnormal skin conditions
  • have an infection/inflammation on or near treatment area
  • are susceptible to keloids, hypertrophic scarring or inflammatory skin conditions
  • have impaired wound healing due to medical conditions, medicinal drugs or poorly vascularised tissue
  • are suffering from prolonged bleeding or tissue healing due to medical conditions or medicinal drugs
  • have history of anaphylactic reactions and/or severe allergies
  • have known sensitivity to steroids or are contraindicated to be treated with steroids
  • have active herpes
  • are pregnant/breast feeding
  • are below the age of 18
  • have autoimmune diseases
  • have hypersensitivity to lidocaine or other local anaesthetics
